This Almanac about Venice History

comes from years of research in the Frari Archives, in the Marciana Library and in Correr Museum.
Between old shelves, turning the pages of ancient Buste, Raspe, Commentarii, I could taste the emotion of touching manuscripts, with signatures and seals of Procuratori, Dogi, Condottieres...
I transcribed the many interesting things I have discovered part on books, others on slide-shows, others more are just laying as simple notes on my personal archives.

29 September 1172
Dopo tre giorni di conclave e dopo essere stato in concorrenza con Orio Mastropiero, viene acclamato Doge Sebastiano Ziani.
Sembra sia stato il primo Doge a distribuire denaro al popolino dopo la sua elezione.
29 September 1411
Viene ordinato che il Senato non possa radunarsi se non sono presenti almeno settanta membri.
29 September 1740
Il Magistrato alle Pompe effettua un censimento della cittÀ  allo scopo di ripartire equamente la tansa dei ferali (tassa sull'illuminazione pubblica).
